Las Vegas specifics

Heat, runways and big weekends.

Summer heat

Hot afternoons reduce takeoff performance. On shorter runways that can limit weight or range, so operators may adjust timing or the airport.

Runway length

Harry Reid takes any category. Henderson and North Las Vegas have shorter runways that favour smaller jets.

Ramp space

On event weekends, parking can run short. Larger aircraft may need a reservation, or to drop you off and leave.

Group size

Seat counts are maximums. Leave a seat or two free on longer flights, especially with bags for a long weekend.
